Experts, workers and employers seem to agree: Artificial intelligence tools are here and they will disrupt the status quo. But what comes next?

The consensus so far seems to be that training will be the next big roadblock — and the way forward. Companies currently have an unbalanced approach to this “buy vs. build” conundrum, one report has said, leaning harder into hiring rather than developing AI professionals in house. Employers also seem unsure how exactly to plan for the future, considering how fast everything is changing, another survey said.

But big tech companies have declared they want to step up to train tech workers to mitigate the continued disruption AI will bring to how work is done.
