Glassdoor has hired Danny Guillory as its chief people officer, effective immediately, the company announced Oct. 4.
Guillory was previously vice president, chief diversity officer and interim chief people officer at Dropbox and has more than 30 years of DEI and recruiting experience. He joins at a time when Glassdoor has increased its focus on DEI offerings, both internally with demographic representation goals and externally by giving site users the option to rate employers on diversity efforts.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Danny to Glassdoor, as we accelerate our vision for workplace transparency and foster an inclusive and engaged workforce," Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor CEO, said in a press release.
In recent years, Glassdoor has implemented numerous transparency initiatives, including pay transparency, diversity data transparency and company performance transparency, among others. Known as one of the largest company review sites in the world, Glassdoor has also released numerous external reports on DEI through its economic research arm and has implemented. In 2017, Glassdoor banned job postings that discriminated against applicants with criminal records.
Recruit Holdings acquired Glassdoor in 2018, six years after it acquired another widely known job posting site: Indeed. In 2020, Glassdoor and Indeed announced their official services partnership. For example, clients of the sites can now access reviews and ratings from both sites in one place.
