From Twitter chats to popular blogs, the #HR Twittersphere is alive and well with a myriad of voices. The Twitter timeline can be a good place to find both analysis and news on the big issues in HR — if you are following the right people.
We compiled a list (in no particular order) of Twitter thought-leaders in the industry so you can stay on top of the latest trends. This isn’t an exhaustive list, so if there’s someone you think needs our extra attention, feel free to send us an email. And don’t forget to follow us at @hrdive.
1. SHRM HR Research
Followers: 40.9K
Description: "SHRM provides original research on emerging workplace issues and their implications for the HR profession and business leaders."
Why follow: As the "world's largest professional organization of #HR pros," most all of the SHRM accounts are worth a follow. The HR research account provides direct, news-to-use information, but also check out their main Twitter handle (@SHRM) and their daily news aggregate (@SHRMHRNews) if you can't get enough HR updates throughout the day.

2. Deloitte Talent
Followers: 12.5K
Description: "News and information from Deloitte Consulting LLP on Human Capital & Talent, Organizational, Financial & Operational Performance."
Why follow: Deloitte is well-known for their research, surveys and whitepapers, and they share insightful pieces of data or commentary from researchers and experts at least a couple times a day.

3. Fistful of Talent
Followers: 40.7K
Description: "Fistful of Talent is a group blog written by recruiters, HR pros, managers and consultants slinging it on all things talent... Join in the conversation!"
Why follow: This blog is run and contributed to by some of #HR Twitter’s favorite professionals and is cited in a number of Best HR Twitter lists. For good reason: they balance humor with honest insight for a modern HR practitioner. Be sure to check out some of their contributors, too: Steve Boese (@SteveBoese), Kris Dunn (@kris_dunn), Paul Hebert (@IncentIntel), Laurie Ruettimann (@lruettimann) and Tim Sackett (@TimSackett), to name a few.

The chats are partly lead by Meghan M. Biro (@MeghanMBiro), TalentCulture CEO and HR tech thought-leader, who is also worth a follow.

Why follow: While some of the questions posed to Alison are more toward employees instead of employers, quite a few do impact HR professionals and their day to day work, including performance reviews, rejection letters and other small but important HR issues. Her answers are level-headed and clear – and the comment section of her site is surprisingly insightful, as well (you don’t see that every day).

10. BLR HR Employment

Why follow: As their description says, BLR HR keeps its followers abreast of employment law updates on a state-by-state basis – a key service, since the law side of HR is notoriously difficult to keep track of. They also share other HR relevant articles on recruitment, retirement and strategy.
