Bergmeyer, a leading design collaborative firm with offices in Boston, Los Angeles, and Columbus, announced today a significant investment in its Los Angeles operations with an innovative new office space at 360 E. 2nd Street in the heart of Little Tokyo. This strategic expansion reflects Bergmeyer's deep commitment to the West Coast market and their vision of creating transformative design experiences that connect people, place, and possibility.
"Los Angeles is a dynamic ecosystem of innovation and creativity where Bergmeyer's collaborative approach can truly thrive," said Rachel Zsembery, CEO of Bergmeyer. "Bergmeyer’s LA office relocation nis more than a change of address. It is an investment that reflects Bergmeyer's continued commitment to building and growing lasting client and partner relationships from our West Coast office and is a bold step forward in our vision for creating positive impact through design in the LA community."
The new 5000 square foot workspace embodies Bergmeyer's human-centered design philosophy through thoughtfully crafted environments that inspire creativity and foster connection. The office features an abundance of natural light and collaborative workspaces that visually and spatially connect our teams with each other. Designed to embrace diverse work styles, the space seamlessly transitions between areas for concentrated individual work and dynamic team engagement, creating an environment that adapts to our community's evolving needs.
Key design elements include:
- A versatile event space designed to host and engage with the local design community
- The Lounge, offering a relaxed setting for team engagement and creative inspiration, complete with design resources, a Bergmeyer community lending library, and pin-up space
- The Materials Library, featuring high-top tables and ample layout space for project development and client meetings
- The Pantry, a vibrant community hub with varied seating arrangements for casual collaboration
- Technology-enabled meeting spaces equipped with digital screens and pin-up areas for hybrid collaboration
- The Wellness Room, thoughtfully designed with soft seating and calming colors for personal wellness and quiet reflection
The newly renovated space also demonstrates Bergmeyer's commitment to sustainable design through mindful renovation choices that minimize material waste, preserving existing architectural elements, and integrating elements of biophilia in the design.
Leslie Young, Managing Director of Bergmeyer's Los Angeles office noted, "This new space represents more than expanded square footage – it's a testament to our investment in Los Angeles' creative future. The thoughtfully designed environment enables our teams to better serve West Coast clients while creating a magnetic hub for top design talent. We've created an inspiring home for meaningful connections within LA's vibrant design community, fostering innovation and collaboration at the intersection of Little Tokyo and the Arts District."
The new office will support Bergmeyer’s full range of practice areas and markets, with specific emphasis on the wellness, retail, higher education, and food & beverage markets, while also serving as a hub for industry events, design education, and community engagement.
This past October, Bergmeyer marked this significant milestone by welcoming Los Angeles-based industry peers, clients, and partners to an open house celebration at the new space, reinforcing the firm's commitment to fostering meaningful connections within the local design community.
