- Mobile recruitment is growing as a preferred way for many companies to connect with candidates. However, writes Jibe, many companies are not prepared to handle mobile recruitment. A survey from The Talent Board revealed that, 40% of companies just do not make mobile application an option.
- An eMarketer report advised that in the U.S. around 31.1 million people will access the internet only through a mobile device by the end of the year. These people are very tech focused and often on the move.
- Candidates who only have a mobile device (with no access to desktop) are the largest group who are being left out of recruitment processes. This also includes a large share of the service industry which typically operates from mobile devices.

Mobile application processes still have a long way to go to include all candidates.While there are social and video mobile applications that can help facilitate this process, is this fair to the growing number of candidates who only use mobile devices? In terms of equality in hiring, recruiters need to be mindful of the target candidates they are seeking and design recruitment processes that meet candidates where they are.
