Dive Insight:
HCM integration is the latest big push in the industry as various tech leaders seek to become the "backbone" of an employer's tech offering. And their timing is good; as organizations undergo a digital transformation, face the digital disruption and prepare for the future of work, such innovations will be central to their success.
Integration might be the catalyst needed to get organizations to update their systems and platforms, especially when employees express their frustration with outmoded technology at work. A Harvard Business Review (HBR) Analytic Services report found that organizations that don't keep up with technological advancements have a tougher time with talent retention. And most workers (64%) in a study by Aruba, a Hewlett Packard company, believe their companies risk falling behind if technology in the workplace isn't integrated.
Organizations also risk losing employees if they don't update their systems. The HBR study found that outmoded systems can force companies to lose employees to the competition and lose out in the battle for talent, especially in a tight labor market.
