While Hispanic Heritage Month ended Oct. 15, employers have a responsibility to forward diversity and inclusion efforts throughout the year — and employers have resources to make that more possible now than ever.
Employee resource groups rose in prominence especially during the events of 2020 and, when given resources, the groups can help companies keep abreast of issues affecting employee populations, including Latinx and Hispanic workers. Investment in training programs, including ESL classes, can also boost Latinx workers. But employers also must be wary of placing the onus of DEI training on Latinx workers and other people of color.
